
Compassion Amidst Hatred
Living in this world, we have become conditioned to succeed by any means necessary; this includes getting ahead even at the cost of stepping on those we are connected to. In some cases this behavior plays out in the form of hatred. Because of our perceived hatred of our brothers and sisters, we are willing to cause hurt, harm, danger and even failure to those whom we should be helping to progress in life.
As children of God we are also children of light and love; to behave and make choices based on any other mindset is a false existence and will yield an experience indicative of those false motivations. On the flip side, to have compassion for our brothers and sisters amidst this dog-eat-dog society is to change the energy and atmosphere such that the light can permeate and overcome the darkness until light is all there is. Showing compassion for those that act as though they hate us is not only what Jesus would do, but it is also acknowledging the love and light that we are while honoring and pleasing God who created us out of and through love.
