Throughout history, we have come up with many reasons as to why God created us. It is my belief that we were created to have a relationship with God, and through that relationship, foster and cultivate “right relationship” with one another.
God is Omniscient, which means that He is all-knowing; however, to know something and to experience it are two different aspects of existence. Because God is life, God knows life better than any of us ever will; this does not negate the fact that God chooses to see and experience life through us-His creation. Another aspect to this life is our free will; because God does not force us to live the lives He chooses for us, and since we are ever-evolving, the unfoldment of life is an ever-changing process in which God delights, especially when our choices are derived from love.
So let us remember that the order of the day is relationship…not obedience, sacrifice, or right-living. As we cultivate and rely on our relationship with God, all of those aspects will exist by default. Additionally, our relationships with each other will always have God at the center and thus will flourish. And so it is…
