We are conditioned to always maintain control of the situations that we encounter in life. The vulnerability that accompanies the loss of control is something that we are generally not willing to risk out of fear of being hurt, exposed, ridiculed and a host of undesired outcomes.
However, what I have learned is that there is great power and liberation in surrendering our will to God’s will. What we know is that God is love and that God created us out of love which means God loves us. This also means that God always has our best interest at heart and knows, not only what’s best for us, but also what our future holds. With this being the case, we can rest knowing that surrendering to God will not result in any of the outcomes mentioned above that prevent us from having the strength to do so. It will, however, result in a more focused and fluid journey that will inevitably lead us to our Greatest, Grandest self as well as the fulfillment of our destiny. And so it is…
