The Ministry of Adversity

The Ministry of Adversity

Many of M.O.M.’s affirmations have dealt with the notion of undesired experiences adding to our lives. Here is another aspect of this universal idea. Adversity is such that many of us choose not to experience it simply because it often is accompanied by undesired emotions, circumstances, and outcomes.

Though undesired, adversity has a ministry of its own; for the purposes of this affirmation ministry is considered to be anything that can lead us to a closer relationship with God. As we experience adversity we are stretched, strengthened, and stabilized…all of which equips us to move closer and closer to the fulfillment of our individual destiny; these also help to increase our consciousness such that we eventually reach the level of God-consciousness, which is one of the primary tenets of Jesus’ teachings. So as we go through life and experience situations that pose a challenge, recognize that it is God pruning us for GREATNESS. After all, we each are ministers to one another. Allow your adversity to strengthen your ministry and watch your territory increase. And so it is…

M.ind O.ver M.atter (M.O.M.) was founded in 2007 by Corky Henderson, who, after a spiritual awakening took on the pen name of Healing. Having worked several years in healthcare he recognized the gaps that exist in our country’s approach to health and wellness and decided to do something about it. In the United States, we focus on passifying the symptoms of our health issues as opposed to healing the cause. Healing believed that to affect real/permanent change in one’s life that we should not only focus on healing the cause of the issue, but to cultivate and balance each aspect of who we are…mind, body and soul. This then became the mantra and vision for M.O.M.
