The Story of the Hook

The Story of the Hook

My pastor was preaching this passed Sunday and he spoke about the comma; he said “In order to properly form a comma, you must start with a period…then it is the addition of the hook that turns the period into a comma.”

Many of us, at one time in our lives or another, have allowed ourselves to play into a defeatist attitude, feeling like any particular woe that we are experiencing has become our final plight in life. So in essence, we add a proverbial period to this part of our life’s story. In doing so, we are not recognizing the power that God has given us to create the lives we choose. Because God is Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent and we are God’s offspring, made in God’s likeness, what exists in any moment in our physical lives is never final. We serve a God of comma’s. So in any situation in our lives where we would add a period, God has given us the power to also add the hook to those periods. With the addition of the hook, the story continues and all we have to do from this point forward is decide in what direction the story will go.

Don’t be fooled by the false finality of the period. Add your hook, continue forward and create the life you choose! And so it is…

Chief Executive Office

M.ind O.ver M.atter (M.O.M.) was founded in 2007 by Corky Henderson, who, after a spiritual awakening took on the pen name of Healing. Having worked several years in healthcare he recognized the gaps that exist in our country’s approach to health and wellness and decided to do something about it. In the United States, we focus on passifying the symptoms of our health issues as opposed to healing the cause. Healing believed that to affect real/permanent change in one’s life that we should not only focus on healing the cause of the issue, but to cultivate and balance each aspect of who we are…mind, body and soul. This then became the mantra and vision for M.O.M.
