Tis the Season to Love
The Holiday Season often comes with mixed emotions for those who are not able to be with loved ones for various reasons, the hustle and bustle of shopping for gifts, and people clamoring to get to their respective vacations. But what is this season really about?
“For God so LOVED the world that He gave His only Begotten Son (Jesus).” (John 3:16) It’s all about Love! It is love that compelled God to create Mankind, it was out of Love that God allowed Jesus to come to this earth, it was Love that caused Jesus to decide to give His life for our iniquities, and because of love, we are here today! God, Jesus, and Love are all synonymous. This is the true “Reason for the Season.”
So, as we figure out gifts we’re getting for people and/or where we’re going to spend the holidays, let us remember that Love should be the driving force and primary focus for all that we do and say…not only this holiday season but all year round.
Remember that love does not mean that we condone what one does or even that we need to be in the same space with those we choose not to. It simply means that we accept and choose all those we’re connected to just as they are without judgment and/or condition (whatever that means/looks like in the moment). Love requires forgiveness, humility, reflection/introspection, honesty, and transparency. All of these are achieved through open, candid, and effective communication. So, HAPPY HOLIDAYS! AND I LOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!!!
Namaste,
Healing
