“The double minded man is unstable in all his ways” (James 1:8) One theme that has been recurring in my life here recently is the idea of being true to Self and/or walking in one’s truth. There are many reasons why we choose to present to the world someone other than who we truly are…sometimes it’s fear of exposure, sometimes it’s a desire to be something other than what/who we are, and sometimes it’s merely a defense mechanism. Whatever the reason, what we create when we do this is a world of confusion, not only for ourselves but for those that we are connected to as well. This confusion can play out in a myriad of ways…jealousy, disappointment, confrontation, anger and many other undesired outcomes. What we are actually doing is sending mixed messages to the Universe, so in turn the Universe provides us back that which we give it…confusion.
The truth is that there is freedom in walking in our truth. Not only do we free ourselves from having to keep up a facade, but we also align who/what we are with the energy that we present to the world and more importantly to the Universe. This then creates a more harmonious and liberating existence. Let us all walk in our truth. And so it is…
