Truest Desire
Many of us feel that our desires are not aligned with God’s. We feel that our desires are too personal and/or carnal to be approved, accepted and/or acted upon by God. I submit that this is only partially true.
God desires for us what we desire for ourselves; however, it is not our carnal/earthly desires where this applies. These desires are too finite and base to be aligned with God’s plan for us. More specifically, if the fulfillment of the desire only serves us individually as opposed to adding to the well-being of mankind, then it’s not likely to be a desire that God chooses for us. On the flip side, those desires that come purely from a place of love and spirit are most certainly ordained by God, such as using our gifts to add to the lives of others including Self. As we continue to let love lead in our lives, we move closer and closer to the center of the heart of God and, in doing so, our desires become God’s desires. And so it is…
